Helen Thomas Cancels Speech at Anti-Israel Rally
As previously documented by NewsBusters, Helen Thomas - former columnist and White House correspondent for both UPI and Hearst Newspapers - was scheduled to speak at a left-wing anti-Israel rally next month during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming visit to America. But the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that Thomas "withdrew her participation fearing she will become the focus of the events."
Thomas, who last year infamously was recorded declaring that Israeli Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go home" to Poland and Germany, was quoted as saying of the upcoming protest, "I am delighted that people are coming together for this gathering, and I want to make sure that the focus stays on AIPAC and U.S. policy, not me."
A statement released by the organizers of the "Move Over AIPAC" Rally reads:
"Helen Thomas was invited to speak, as a journalist who is fearless about questioning power and unnecessary wars, but because some of her comments have sparked controversy, several members of the coalition and our grassroots community had concerns about her appearance."
The statement continues: "When Thomas was informed about this, she feared that the focus of the events might shift to her, instead of AIPAC and U.S. policy, and she gracefully withdrew her participation."

I can't imagine Helen Thomas doing anything "gracefully," but any time this hag decides against appearing in public, it's a good day.
anti-Semites like Thomas pretend that they love JEWS, it's just the policies of those awful ISRAELIS they have a problem with. don't be fooled: these people are Jew haters through and through.

This odious woman was caught on tape making racist statements. After decades of successful villainy, it was exposed that after all her screaming that everyone else is a racist, that in fact the real racist was herself.
Her hate and her bigotry were laid bare, and she was forced to resign in disgrace. Leave her career and her bigotry in the ash heap of history where it belongs.

The left globally hates the West. Israel is rightfully seen as a western democracy into a third world region. Hence the global left hates Israel as an Imperialist power. Helen Thomas, an inveterate leftist buys in and attacks Israel at every opportunity. At least she does so forthrightly - unlike Obama who knifes Israel in the back at every opportunity, expressing his own leftist sentiment, a Marxist using Alinsky like moderate language to disguise profoundly anti-American and anti-Western attitudes learned at his fathers knee.
