CBS Notes Ex-President Bush Boycotting Conference Because of Julian Assange Inclusion
On Friday evening, uniquely among the broadcast network evening newscasts, the February 25 CBS Evening News briefly gave attention to former President George W. Bush’s decision to cancel a planned appearance in Denver at the Global Leadership Summit because of his disapproval of the same group’s plan to allow Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to address the event.
Quoting the former President as complaining that Assange has "done great harm to the U.S.," anchor Katie Couric read the item:
KATIE COURIC: And one more note about George W. Bush, he’s canceled an appearance in Denver tomorrow because Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was invited to speak by video link to the same gathering, the Global Leadership Summit. The former President said he would not take part in the same forum as someone who has, quote, "done great harm to the U.S."

But CBS failed to note the close association among Jeremiah Wright, Qadaffi, Louis Farrakhan?
Wasn't he arrested?

If we were still anything resembling America as it once was...

The FBI would be waiting for this idiot and arrest him as soon as he exited the plane onto U.S. soil, charge him with espionage, and pack him off to GITMO where he belongs.
Too bad America has become too wussified to do that now.

Let me get this straight: Assange is in this country and is not going to be immediately arrested and shipped off to Gitmo? It's not like they shut it down or something! Use it and put him in it immediately!
