'Fox & Friends' Highlights MRC Labeling Study
On the August 19 "Fox & Friends" panel segment, co-host Gretchen Carlson highlighted the Media Research Center's (MRC) "revealing" labeling study comparing broadcast network coverage of the 2007 Democratic primary to the 2011 Republican primary.
Published by MRC Research Director Rich Noyes on Tuesday, the study reviewed the ABC, CBS, and NBC morning and evening news programs from January 1 through July 31, 2011 and found 62 "conservative" tags for Republican candidates, compared to only three "liberal" labels for Democratic candidates running during the same time period in 2007.
"That's a 20-to-1 margin, if you're doing the math with us this morning," remarked Carlson.

Reacting to the findings, panelist Dylan Glenn observed that the mainstream media's liberal tendencies are a "proven mantra" and hoped the public would "see through" the labels.
"Don't labels matter?" wondered Carlson. "Because through osmosis, if you continually hear something over and over again, you tend to believe it."
Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Jonathan Miller, co-founder of No Labels, insisted that media bias is geared "more toward controversy than it is toward a particular party."

Shameless fools and if their talking points are so pertinent why not let both sides be essentially heard.
Classic

This is a classic move by left-wing media propagandists.
By labeling people "conservative" but yet not mentioning when someone is "liberal", the people being labeled seem like outsiders.
Another subtle, yet underhanded tactic by those in the left-wing media.
Oh the very biased media!

I need my sarcasm font. Are you kidding me? So the big bad media labels the candidates as something that they would probably label themselves as, and what, this is the media insulting them? Wow, just wow! This is supposed to be some serious "study on the mainstream media?" What a joke.
You need something rudy

Just tuck your head under the covers there rudy boy!
The rudy drinking game

It will get better over time I'm sure but if you wanna catch a buzz, go to rudys tracking page and read each post. Every time the phrase "cognitive dissonance " is used, take a shot.
If rudy sticks around a few months, should be a pretty good time.
I have a better drinking game

If you really want to get a good buzz on, there is a much easier way. Read my posts and then take a shot every time someone replies by just calling me names without ever taking the time to make any effort to address any points that I made. Of course that kind of intoxication can lead to alcohol poisoning so please be careful. On a side note, yours is one of the few replies that did not resort to said method and I am always up for a new drinking game. So tip of the hat to 'ya.
