Ingraham Hits 'Morning Joe' for Skipping Schultz in Women in Workplace Special

As first picked up by NewsBusters from Brian Maloney's Radio Equalizer blog, MSNBC anchor Ed Schultz on Tuesday demeaned conservative radio host Laura Ingraham as a "right-wing slut," prompting his indefinite suspension on Wednesday.

But on "Morning Joe" today, the panelists demonstrated their devotion to equal treatment of women in the workplace with a special, "Knowing Your Worth," which Ingraham's staff noted completely ignored Schultz's crass insults.

"Maybe some women undervalue themselves because they are demeaned and debased in the workplace by boorish men who do so with impunity," mused Ingraham's staff on her blog. "Rest assured Mika; Laura 'knows her worth' too."

Instead of coming to the defense of a fellow female media personality, the "Morning Joe" team ruminated on such questions as whether having more women in the boardroom could have prevented the 2008 financial crisis.

For a group of women journalists, led by co-host Mika Brzezinski, to explore issues facing women in the workplace without addressing the sexist comments of one of their male co-workers is, as Ingraham observed, an "ironic twist" in a sordid tale.

Anyhow Laura thank you for hammering home that irony. Hey Foxnews, don't let these assholes off the hook. Those jerks at MSNBC can not go 5 minutes without mentioning foxnews. It was an infomercial!

They're just trying to sell her dumb book that remains in the basement at Amazon. Like a movie, if a book comes out and doesn't do well immediately, it doesn't do well at all. A big 12 ft by 12 ft pic of the cover behind the set. Please.

And Scarborough likes to pretend HIS MSNBC is different from Ed's MSNBC.

Mika, your "worth" is not

Submitted by amyshulk on Thu, 05/26/2011 - 9:56pm.

Mika, your "worth" is not what others say it is, it's what you decide it is. Laura knows that.

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
