Tom Tancredo Storms Off 'Ed Show' After Markos Moulitsas Insult

The liberal blogosphere is cheering one of its heroes for insulting a former Republican member of Congress on national television who as a result walked off an MSNBC set in disgust.

Appearing on Friday's "The Ed Show," Daily Kos owner Markos Moulitsas said to former Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo, "I did not get a deferment because I was too depressed to fight in a war that I supported in Vietnam."

Tancredo asked for an apology, and when one was not forthcoming, he took off his microphone and earpiece, and left (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, h/t Mediaite):

Dem Consultant Claims White House Warned Him To Stay Off Fox

David Axelrod's appearance on Fox News Wednesday apparently wasn't a sign of a truce between the Obama administration and the cable news network as it appears the White House is putting pressure on Democrat consultants to avoid the station at all costs.

For its part, the White House has denied these allegations.

Such was reported Friday by the Los Angeles Times (h/t NBer Gary Hall):

Rosie Drops F-bombs On 'Late Night' Before Attacking Glenn Beck

Comedienne Rosie O'Donnell gave another classy performance Friday evening when she used numerous vulgarities on NBC's "Late Night" just before she attacked Fox News's Glenn Beck.

Almost worse, host Jimmy Fallon didn't seem at all disturbed by O'Donnell's behavior.

Quite the contrary, whether she was cursing like a rapper or demeaning one of the nation's leading cable news personalities, Fallon cheered her on.

Ironically, O'Donnell's attack on Beck ended with her saying, "I don't understand why people enjoy that carnival barker...He's a scary man" (videos embedded below the fold with partial transcript):

Maddow Apologizes For Constitution Gaffe With Schoolhouse Rock

Rachel Maddow on Friday apologized for her previous day's Constitution Preamble gaffe by using "Schoolhouse Rock" to educate her viewers.

As NewsBusters reported, Maddow on Thursday ridiculed House minority leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) for claiming during that day's "House Call" rally the historic phrase "We hold these truths to be self-evident" came from the Preamble to the Constitution.

In so doing, Maddow gaffed herself by claiming there isn't a Preamble to the Constitution.

Maybe after reading our article on the subject the MSNBC host felt the need to make a correction (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, h/t Jeff Poor):

Kathy Griffin Wants 'Dirty Lesbian' Suze Orman For President

Comedienne Kathy Griffin believes it's "only a matter of time" before personal finance expert Suze Orman is President of the United States.

Why you may ask.

"Because you want a nice, financially focused, dirty lesbian running this country."

So said Griffin Friday during an absolutely preposterous conversation with fellow comedienne Joy Behar on the latter's HLN program (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript):

TVNewser: 'Could Glenn Beck Take Over Oprah's Syndicated Slot?'

Deadline Hollywood shocked the entertainment world Thursday when it predicted Oprah Winfrey would soon give up her syndicated television program to move it to her OWN cable network.

On Friday, the website TVNewser wondered if this might open the door for Fox News sensation Glenn Beck to move into such a syndicated arrangement.

This was on the heals of the New York Times lavishing praise on Beck for being the new Oprah when it comes to helping the sales of fiction writers.

Newser's Chris Ariens wrote

Robert Reich: ObamaCare Won't Cut Costs OR Improve Health Care

Former Clinton Labor Secretary and current Obama economic adviser Robert Reich believes healthcare legislation currently being debated on Capitol Hill "won't offer most Americans any appreciable decline in the cost of their health insurance nor clear improvement in the efficiency or quality of the health care they receive."

Contrary to what President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and their media minions are shamefully telling the public, the current bill results in "extra costs [that] will be borne by those Americans who will be required to buy insurance but won't qualify for federal assistance, along with Medicare beneficiaries who will be paying more and receiving less."

Maybe more importantly given Friday's announcement that the nation's unemployment rate jumped to 10.2 percent in October, Reich believe's President Obama is doing America a disservice by focusing all his attention on healthcare reform instead of trying to create jobs.

Although Reich posted this at his blog on Sunday, I could find no major media references to his rather startling commentary (h/t Glenn Reynolds):

Maddow Wrongly Claims 'Constitution Doesn't Have A Preamble'

Did you know the United States Constitution doesn't have a Preamble?

Well, that's what the oh so arrogant, high and mighty MSNBC host Rachel Maddow told her audience Thursday night.

In a segment attacking the attendees of yesterday's "House Call" protests on Capitol Hill, Maddow chided Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) for claiming he was quoting from the Preamble of the Constitution (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, relevant section at 2:05, file photo):

Rep. King Talks to NewsBusters About Rush Limbaugh and NFL

Last week Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) made quite a splash when he raked NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell over the coals for the decision to stop Rush Limbaugh from becoming an owner of the St. Louis Rams.

On Wednesday I spoke to King about this episode as well as it's bigger meaning as it pertains to what's happening in America today.

King described what he sees as "victimology and multiculturalism...where the liberals decide that they’re going to be the judges of what goes on in the heads of people."

As a result, he wasn't going to sit by and watch Goodell "pass judgment on Rush Limbaugh for what he thought Rush thought" or for what "some irresponsible bloggers had to say about what Rush said."

In King's view, the witch hunt against Limbaugh is emblematic of how liberals and the media "have been so steeped in this for so long that they believe they're right, and they believe that the people that disagree with them are evil racists."

As such, King feels the Left have adopted the Marxist philosophy of Antonio Gramsci who argued "a lie [has] as much virtue as the truth, you just [need] to create the case for that in the constituency group that would support the lies" (20-minute audio available here with relevant section beginning at 2:15, transcript below the fold):

Election Results So Bad Obama's Senior Adviser Went On Fox News

Just how bad for Obama were Tuesday's election results?

So bad White House senior adviser David Axelrod went on Fox News Wednesday to try and spin it?

In case you've forgotten, this is about two weeks after Axelrod told ABC's George Stephanopoulos, "[T]hey're not really a news station."

I guess that's changed now that the Republicans have come back to life (video of Major Garrett's unedited interview with Axelrod embedded below the fold, part of it was aired on Wednesday's "Special Report"):

Dowd Attacks Bush, The Cheneys and Palin in Limbaugh Hit Piece

The one thing I love about liberal columnists is how they complain about people spewing invective as they spew invective.

Such was deliciously the case in New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd's offering Wednesday when she went after Rush Limbaugh:

Years ago, when I dubbed Dubya “The Boy Emperor,” Limbaugh spewed a stream of personal invective about me that embarrassed even my mother, a Limbaugh fan.

In a classic example of the liberal double standard, Dowd didn't have any problem whatsoever spewing invective of her own.

Better still, in a piece about America's leading conservative talk radio host, Dowd felt the need to also attack George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Liz Cheney.

Let me count the ways:

CBS Claims Dogs Are Killing The Planet

You thought your car was bad for the planet?

Heck with that! Your dog is WORSE!

MUCH worse!

So claimed CBSNews.com Monday in a piece hysterically titled, "Just Blame the Dog for Environment's Ills":

NYT: Is Glenn Beck the New Oprah?

"Virtually every novelist in America fantasizes about being picked to appear on Oprah Winfrey's talk show. But now an increasing number of writers have discovered a new champion: Glenn Beck."

Hold onto your seats, for that's not a quote from the National Review or the Weekly Standard.

It's actually the opening paragraph of an absolutely glowing piece about Beck's impact on the book industry published Thursday by -- drum roll please -- the New York Times (h/t Mediaite):

Keith Olbermann Tells Glenn Beck and 9-12ers 'Go To Hell'

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann Tuesday told Fox News's Glenn Beck to "Go to hell!"

Even worse, he did the same to members of Beck's 9-12 Project, an organization "designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001" when we were "united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created."

Apparently, Olbermann doesn't want Americans as united as they were the day after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, as during his "Worst Person in the World" segment Tuesday, he defiled people working towards this goal -- on national television no less (video embedded below the fold with transcript):

Mediaite: 'If The Election Were Held Today Obama Would Lose'

Would you ever in your wildest dreams have imagined a year after Barack Obama's historic victory a new website created by former MSNBC GM Dan Abrams and crawling with ex-Huffington Posters would declare in a headline, "If The Election Were Held Today Obama Would Lose?"

Granted, the article written by ex-HuffPoster Glynnis MacNicol took its cue from a recently released Rasmussen poll, and discounted its findings.

Regardless, the headline and opening paragraphs by themselves indicate just how much the bloom has come off the Barose (h/t Matt Lewis):

NYT: Al Gore Making A Fortune Spreading Global Warming Hysteria

"Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy. And few have put as much money behind their advocacy as Mr. Gore and are as well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes."

For years I have personally challenged mainstream media outlets to admit how much money Nobel Laureate Al Gore HAS and WILL make by spreading global warming hysteria.

On Tuesday, the New York Times will feature a front page story that discusses exactly that.

Readers are strongly encouraged to strap themselves in tightly, for the Times' John Broder is about to take them on a journey beyond their wildest dreams:

Scozzafava Records Robocall for Owens, What Will Press Say?

Since Dede Scozzafava suspended her campaign for the open House seat in New York state's 23rd district Saturday, media members have been depicting her as a moderate Republican who was the victim of an attack by the far-right in the nation.

As NewsBusters reported hours ago, ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Monday said of events in upstate New York:

You saw this conservative candidate just come in and swamp the Republican who was pro-choice, pro-gay rights. And what the White House is trying to do even if they lose here is exploit- is fan the flames of this civil war.

With this in mind, one has to wonder how media are going to report the news that Scozzafava has actually recorded a "robocall" for Democrat candidate Bill Owens (audio available here, transcript below the fold, h/t Tweeter EndTheRoboCalls):

Wall Street Journal Calls ObamaCare 'The Worst Bill Ever'

The Wall Street Journal's editorial board didn't pull any punches Monday when it declared Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Cal.) healthcare legislation "The Worst Bill Ever."

The sub-headline made things even clearer:

Epic new spending and taxes, pricier insurance, rationed care, dishonest accounting: The Pelosi health bill has it all.

But the first three must-read paragraphs said it all:

Robert Englund aka Freddie Krueger Afraid of 'Tea-Baggers'

Despite helping to create one of the most frightening characters of all time, Robert Englund, aka Freddie Krueger in the hit horror series "Nightmare on Elm Street," is actually afraid of "tea-baggers."

So wrote Englund in an article published at the Huffington Post Friday.

Though Halloween might be over, the following nonsense is likely to scare the Dickens out of many people afraid of the country's increasingly leftward shift (h/t Big Hollywood):

Democrat Strategist On Fox Complains About Being Ganged Up On

This can't possibly be a proud moment for Democrat strategist Steve Murphy.

Appearing on the Fox News Channel with host Jamie Colby Wallack and political analyst Angela McGlowan on Sunday, Murphy actually complained, "It's tough debating two folks here...Two against one, not fair and balanced."

Let's be honest -- the must-see video embedded below the fold needs no further introduction (h/t Breitbart TV, file photo):
