I am an atheist because I believe that morality is better when based on reason and love then on faith in the claims of religious institutions or faith in scripture.

I am a liberal because I believe that human rights are the most important things, and that changes are needed to protect people's liberty. The human race has come along ways but we have a long ways yet to go.
