- My name is David D. Poston. I am from Montgomery, La in Grant Parish. I am married to Sonya and we have three dogs and two cats instead of kids. I have been interested in news and politics from a very young age. I was 9yrs old when the hostages were taken in Iran. I also well remember President Carter’s inept and lame administration and how he wouldn’t do anything to free them. The one thing he did do was a dismal failure. And then……….in late 1979 and early 1980 I remember seeing a guy named Ronald Reagan and how he seemed to be everything Jimmy Carter wasn’t He also wanted to do something to free the hostages. And the on election night in 1980 I remember how happy I was for him to win. I was running all over the house yelling “He won! He won” Momma,” “He won!” The rest as they say is history. I am a true conservative republican. Not some watered down cowardly “moderate” who talks about less taxes and government but never does anything to actually reduce taxes and government. And I also believe the way to defeat terrorists is to hunt them down and kill them.
