I became a conservative prior to the 2004 presidential election.  I want to thank my first job out of college for that.  I had a 100 mile round-trip and got tired of burning CD's so I was turned onto AM radio (Hat tip to 1360 AM in Corpus Christi, TX).  Listening to Rush, Hannity, Beck, and Laura made me realize where I was politically aligned.  I crawled out of my darkest days as a doom and gloom lib and saw the light of conservatism.  It is definitely hard to be hispanic and conservative in the eyes of the public, where is it written that if you are hispanic that you have to be a dem?
