About Me

Profile

Matthew Vadum is an expert on the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a radical left-wing group with extensive ties to the Obama administration. Vadum is also author of Subversion Inc.: How Obama's ACORN Red Shirts Are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers which was published in May 2011 by WND Books.

Michelle Malkin used his groundbreaking research on ACORN in her New York Times bestseller, Culture of Corruption. Malkin credits Vadum with being one of two people in the nation for "foresight and insight in reporting on the [ACORN] story when no one else would." His ACORN research has also been cited by the Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, Washington Times, Reuters, New York Post, National Review, American Spectator, World Net Daily, Newsmax, Hot Air, Instapundit, as well as talk show hosts Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, G. Gordon Liddy, and Alan Colmes.

Since 2006 Vadum's work has been cited in more than two dozen books including New York Times bestsellers: The Case Against Barack Obama, by David Freddoso; To Save America, by Newt Gingrich; The Manchurian President, by Aaron Klein; Courting Disaster, by Marc Thiessen; and Third World America, by Arianna Huffington.

Vadum is Editor of Organization Trends and Foundation Watch, two monthly newsletters published by Capital Research Center, a Washington D.C.-based think tank that focuses on the politics of philanthropy. He has appeared on “The Glenn Beck Program,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” “America’s Nightly Scoreboard,” “The G. Gordon Liddy Show,” “The Michael Reagan Show,” “The B-Cast,” “America's Morning News,” “Janet Parshall’s America,” “The Lars Larson Show,” “The Greg Knapp Experience,” “The Roger Hedgecock Show,” “Politics of Money,” and has been published in the Washington Times, Boston Herald, Las Vegas Review-Journal, American Spectator, National Review, Human Events, Townhall, Catholic World Report, and elsewhere. He was disappointed not to be named "Worst Person in The World" before Keith Olbermann walked the plank at MSNBC.

Having worked as a reporter for The Bond Buyer, a daily financial newspaper based on Wall Street and the Central Penn Business Journal, he knows a wee bit about media bias. The opinions he expresses on NewsBusters are his own.
