Jimmie is a professional police dispatcher and a music student studying to become a music teacher and choral director. His interest in the media, and media bias is that of a layman who reads a few major newspapers every day. He's an avid fan of classical, choral, jazz, and blues music, a role-playing gamer since he was a teenager, can name every starter for the World Series Champion 1983 Baltimore Orioles, and a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. He also runs The Sundries Shack, one of the millions of smallish blogs that make up the tail end of the blogosphere. One day he hopes to be picked up as a semi-regular columnist so he can actually run a blogad that might make enough money to pay for his web hosting expenses.
He hopes one day to meet some of the fine folks at the Media Research Center who blog here, as he's been visiting their web site for quite a while and thinks they do incredibly good work. Besides, he thinks they're just neat people.
