i am married to a wonderful man who will do anything for his family, i am really blessed.  i have 2 boys 6 and 3, my youngest is deaf (so am i and my husband).  i encourage anyone who has a deaf family, friends or sibilings/parents, to please learn sign language, do not just accept cochlear implant-signing is important, it bonds the family more closer together. 

being a conservative in the deaf community is very rare, almost all my friends are democrats and they think that republicans hate people with disability, so often i am like elizabeth from the view surrounded by a sea of liberals. thank god my whole family share my values (except for my union dad and in-laws).
