About Me

Profile

I became a news junkie during the First Gulf War.  I was glued to CNN and was thrilled with the reporting and analysis.  As time went on, I began to realize that what was once reporting and analysis became fluff and drivel aimed at promoting an agenda.  It happened slowly, over several years and for awhile I thought that I was the only one who noticed.  The Clinton impeachment sealed it for me.  I still loved to watch the news, but found myself frustrated and eventually sickened at the lopsided idiocy.  I studied mass communication in upstate New York with a degree in Marketing Communications.  I was taught to "run my finger down the Democratic row of the voting machine," by political science professors.  I still recall a teacher asking me if I was one of those "born-again idiot Republicans" in the middle of the library.  It was events like these coupled with the mass media's total agenda-driven claptrap that made me almost give up all hope.  Then the internet opened up new ideas, Fox News while far from perfect is a step in the right direction and more people seemed to understand what was and still is happening.  I respond to blogs and contribute only when I feel something needs to be added or or corrected, not to add personal agendas or attacks.
