I am currently the communications director for the Tennessee Republican Party, and also operate Mesh Media Strategies, a consulting firm in the field of new media. My background includes journalism and media relations work.

I also publish one of the most influential government-focused blogs in Tennessee, at www.billhobbs.com, and have done so since November 2001.

In 1999 I worked as the press secretary for a conservative Democrat running for mayor of Nashville.
