Retired. Worked eight years as a newspaper reporter, for three newspapers. Then worked as publications editor for an insurance company. I want to discover how to set up a blog. AP & NY Times News Service copy & the rest of the press need all the criticism they can get. The AP's editors let stuff pass that formerly would get spiked. For example, Matt Crenson recently wrote an AP piece claiming that humans can have a common ancestor from as recently as the time of Christ, an absurdity. That ran in many newspapers without critical comment.
