I’m not sure what derangement syndrome Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is suffering from, but on Friday’s “Hardball,” he actually blamed the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center on President Reagan’s rollback of CAFE standards in 1986.

I kid you not.

To set this up, Kennedy and conservative talk show host Melanie Morgan were invited on to discuss profits that are currently being made surrounding “solutions” to anthropogenic global warming.

That precipitated the following set of almost unbelievable inanities from Kennedy (video available here, relevant section begins at 2:10):

Johns Hopkins University has developed a bionic eye that recognizes faces and could help blind users to see. A computer chip that is in the back of the eye is linked to a mini video camera built into the eyeglasses of the user.

I’m certain you’ve heard of the Mark of the Beast. If you believe the bible, then you know that the book of Revelations talks about how there would come a time when no man would be able to buy or sell unless he (or she) took the Mark of the Beast---and the Beast’s number is 666 (666 has long been linked to computers. I remember reading years ago that it’s interchangeable with 999, which is helpful to programmers?) Well anyway, the Beast has arrived.

Saddam Hussein used Chemical weapon in three different situations, attacked 6 nations, violated the terms of the Gulf War surrender, planned the assassination of a former US President, collaborated with and harbored terrorists, and was – according to the New York Times – one year away from building an Atomic Bomb before he was finally overthrown.

There was a Tuberculosis scare recently. You could not turn on the television without seeing and hearing about it. But after about a week of that unpleasantness, the old “Ostrich Syndrome” took effect in me and I wanted to just hide my entire head in the sand and simply forget about it. But I can’t. That would not be a wise thing. Why? Because though the story of the TB crisis that has hit America is out of sight for now, it truly is not gone. TB is real. It’s ugly. It’s gross. And yes, it’s unpleasant to talk or think about.

However, with the ongoing border battles, it is imperative to look at those who are crossing the borders, and to consider their health issues. I’m particularly concerned about the illegal aliens and their part in this whole TB scare. Yes, I understand that it’s not politically correct to state the obvious but consider this:

Finally, a review of Michael Moore's “Sicko” that addressed the problems with his Seigfried & Roy style of filming and his one-sided view of health care systems. USA Today's review, by Richard Wolf, did not ignore the problems with US health care, but it put “Sicko's” view into perspective and notes the tricks and gimmicks he used to frame an image of a health care system that is worse than those in the third world (emphasis mine throughout):

Sicko is sure to prompt a healthy debate about the U.S. health care system. But it tells only one side of the story.

Michael Moore's latest documentary is partly a diatribe against insurance companies and drug makers. It recalls outrageous examples of treatments denied that led to death, disfigurement or bankruptcy.

If you listen to the global warming alarmists working for the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or folks like soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore, sea levels across the globe are rising at a rate that will eventually doom us all.

According to Swedish paleogeophysicist Nils-Axel Mörner, who’s been studying and writing about sea levels for four decades, the scientists working for the IPCC have falsified data and destroyed evidence to incorrectly prove their point.

Mörner was recently interviewed by Gregory Murphy of Executive Intelligence Review, and began by making it clear that the sea level claims made by the IPCC are a lot of nonsense (emphasis added throughout, h/t Eduardo Ferreyra):

The front of the Washington Post Style section on Saturday was dominated by two features on Hollywood stereotyping. At the bottom was Teresa Wiltz suggesting that Angelina Jolie playing Afro-Cuban Mariane Pearl in "A Mighty Heart" is somehow comparable to blackface minstrel shows. But that's not as odd as the top story by William Booth on stereotyped Arab villains, illustrated by the cartoon image of Jafar, the villainous vizier in the Disney cartoon "Aladdin." Earth to the Post: everyone in "Aladdin," heroes and villains, is Arab.

Booth's story actually only raised the issue of the opening song lyrics of "Aladdin," which joked about vicious ear-slicing barbarians, which the Arab-American activists successfully pressed Disney to remove. After that scrubbing, I imagine the children would also hear about "Ali Baba and the Forty Upstanding Merchants." The star of the Booth piece, retired professor Jack Shaheen, also deplored the Fox drama "24" as "the worst of smears" for portraying American Arabs as the terrorist next door. Booth began in Los Angeles:

On June 3, NBC’s “Meet the Press” marvelously demonstrated how wonderful a panel discussion can be when there are an equal number of liberal and conservative pundits present as reported by NewsBusters here.

Three weeks later, host Tim Russert stocked his panel exclusively with liberals: David Broder of The Washington Post, John Harwood of The Wall Street Journal and CNBC, Gwen Ifill of PBS’ Washington Week, and syndicated columnist Roger Simon.

As a result of there not being one conservative present, the discussion was the usual twenty minutes of Bush-bashing, Hillary sycophancy, and attacks on all politicians with an “R” next to their names.

On Friday ("Strickland-CAIR Update: Reported Strickland Staffer Response"), I noted how staff member "Charles" in Ohio Governor Ted Strickland's office responded in a conversation with a constituent relayed to me by a trusted source. The constituent objected to the governor's June 17 appearance at CAIR-Ohio's annual banquet -- a banquet also attended by CAIR's national chairman of the board. In part, the constituent reported the following:

"Charles of his staff stated that he did a lot of research on CAIR and they were an organization that does a lot of good and no more terrorist than the Jewish Defense Fund or Dr. James Dobson."

CNN’s Howard Kurtz invited CBS’ Lara Logan on “Reliable Sources” Sunday, and it was difficult to tell what was more disgraceful: the way that Kurtz disingenuously set up Logan to bash Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, or; Logan’s amazingly hypocritical answer regarding journalists’ role during wartime wherein she proudly stated:

“We’re there to be the watchdog for all sides.”

I kid you not. In fact, Logan made it quite clear that in her view, journalism is more important than American lives or the war effort.

To set this up, Kurtz said the following to his guest:

Matthew 24:24 warns “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect --- if that were possible.” With all the enticing messages trying to lead Christian young people astray, “The Forbidden Doors Series” by Bill Myers provides a bit of insight into the subtle temptations of mysticism conspiring to lead the individual into spiritual destruction.

In “The Deceived“, Myers examines the dangers posed by hypnosis and reincarnation. The main character, a high school student named Rebecca, is mesmerized by a hypnotist and undergoes past-life regression.

Thinking she is the reincarnation of a French monarch, Rebecca longs to reconnect with the powers she is convinced she once possessed, Rebecca falls under the influence of a renowned motivational speaker. However, does this occultist have Rebecca’s best interests at heart or an intention far more sinister in mind?

Most Fox News watchers are familiar with Kirsten Powers, the outspoken Democrat strategist and political analyst that is often a guest of Bill O’Reilly’s.

On Friday, Powers sat in for Brian Kilmeade on Fox Radio’s “Brian and the Judge.” At issue was the just-released report from the Center for American Progress regarding conservative domination of AM radio.

To say the least, Powers' take on this subject wouldn’t ingratiate her with folks like Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer (audio available here, h/t Allah at Hot Air):
