I noticed a few moments ago that this potty-mouthed jerk finally had his ticket pulled here at NB.

All I can say is, what took the admins so long to pull this goober's plug?

In the nearly five years that I have been participating on this site, I have never seen a poster get away with repeated violations of the posted Term of Service here at NewsBusters as this one was allowed to. 

Most of us have, at one time or other, dropped a few choice words here, but almost always they are directed at trolls and plants. I can also understand it happening when people get a little hot concerning some of the subject matter that is posted here by the contributors. As you all know, I have let a few fly in that circumstance as well.

But what the former poster-in-question was doing was beyond the pale, as he was placing not just foul language in his comments, but vile vulgarites also, and it seemed as if every other comment he placed here contained one or the other. Often both.

Not only that, but I noticed more than a few of his posts contained some rather thinly veiled racial overtones, which led me to believe he was quite possibly a plant.

For those of you who may not be aware of it, plants are far worse than trolls, as they aren't just here to annoy the members, but are looking to damage this site in the eyes of the public. 

They do this in several ways, usually employing liberal "pet peeves," and one of them is to post racist or near-racist comments and see if they can get one or more regular members to agree, or post something even worse.

Once someone takes the bait, the plant will grab the comment, go back to Kos, DU, Moveon, or whatever rat-hole of a site they crawled out of, and post either the comment itself, or a link back here to it.

But I'm straying from the point of this post.

I have been trying over most of the last five years to get friends and family members (particularly young family members) interested in regularly reading Newsbusters. I often email links to articles posted here that I think they might be interested in reading.

Lately, I have had to exclude the kids from my list out of fear they were going to run across something posted by that foul-mouthed moron.

What distresses me is this clown started this stuff as soon as his account became active, and despite numerous complaints on the part of many of the members here, his account was not shut down until just in the last twenty-four hours.

It shouldn't have taken anywhere near this long to pull this clown's plug.

I hope the powers-that-be here at NB will be a little more responsive when the next one comes along.

And there will be a next one.

There always is.
